Great River Road Wine Trail Mid-Summer Festival

Date: Saturday & Sunday,
June 20 & 21, 11 a.m. - 6 p.m.

A new wine trail linking wineries in Wisconsin, Minnesota, and Iowa will be celebrated when the Great River Road Wine Trail presents its first event, a Mid-Summer Festival on Saturday and Sunday, June 20th and 21st, 11:00 am - 6:00 pm. The nine wineries on the trail will each present their special offerings with free samples available to the general public. Some wine trail members will also have special food items available for purchase at the event. In addition to enjoying the wines and activities at each winery, guests can also enjoy the celebrations occurring in the various villages and towns along the trail.

Maiden Rock Winery & Cidery will join the Stockholm Midsommar Festival and celebrate the village's Swedish heritage. It is a Scandinavian tradition to celebrate the summer solstice, the longest day of the year, with a festival of light, flowers, food, and music. Join other guests at Maiden Rock Winery & Cidery in sampling our ciders, meads and wines - while singing "Helan Går" and other Swedish drinking songs!

The Stockholm Midsommar Festival celebration will include a majstång (maypole), folk dancing, music by Nyckelharpalag, traditional costumes, community pot luck and food vendors, Scandinavian art show and classes, and bonfire. Click here for more details.
